Florida Gators Lacrosse Adds Transfer Goalkeeper Alexa Lang

The Florida Gators Lacrosse team has secured the commitment of goalkeeper Alexa Lang, a transfer from the University of South Florida (USF), as they prepare for the 2026-2027 season. Lang, a rising sophomore, is expected to strengthen the Gators' defense with her extensive experience and proven track record.

Lang's lacrosse journey began in Colorado, where she played for Colorado Academy before transferring to The John Carroll School in Maryland. Her high school career featured notable achievements; she was a three-time All-Conference player and earned All-State honors in 2024. Lang also served as team captain at The John Carroll School and earned a place on the Baltimore Sun AEGIS First Team All-County.

Beyond her impressive high school accolades, Lang showcased her skills on a national level. In the summer of 2025, she represented the Mexico Women's Lacrosse National Team at the Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championships, recording 26 saves over five games. This international experience further establishes her credentials as a formidable goalkeeper.

The Gators' acquisition of Lang is part of a broader strategy to enhance their roster, which also includes Clemson transfer Susan Lowther and eight incoming freshmen. With Lang's background and achievements, the Gators are aiming to boost their competitive edge in collegiate lacrosse.
